Rain, Thunder, Wine, and Teddy Bear PJ’s

Ahh… my ‘other half’ is away at his bachelor party, Kyler is sleeping soundly and the rain is pounding outside. I have had an entire evening to dedicate to obsessive-photo-community-browsing while I sit here in my CLEAN and QUIET home. I don’t even have music on, I’m just listening to the storm in the ugliest outfit you could imagine, but drinking wine out of the coolest vintage goblet that I picked up at a thrift store awhile back.

So I’ve had some major epiphanys about photography this week! My creativity had subsided largely for awhile because I was focusing sooooo hard on really seeing light and exposing it properly; and then it just ‘clicked’ somewhere in my brain. I’ve even been preferring manual settings most of the time, hehe! Now I’m just dying for some better equipment, tho I’m very happy with the image results of this d50. It was a good camera to start out with for sure.

I’ve been looking back through photos of KyKy tonight, too… he’s going to be FIVE in NOVEMBER!! Where did the time go?! The other night he asked me if I would die one day….. what do you say to a question like THAT? I tried to explain that everyone is born and everyone dies, and it ended up being too much info for him, leaving him in tears…. *sigh*… its so hard to know what to say sometimes… regardless, I still love being a mommy :)

Aw, Meg! How’d you find this already? I haven’t really said anything about it other than on dA. Anyway, I am soooo pumped about getting to see you and I am blessed to have you supporting our family on ‘the big day’ ^_^

YAY you have a blog! :) :) I get bogged down with the technicalities of photography sometimes. It’s good when it just CLICKS and you can let go and be creative again. Tho I have to admit, sometimes it does NOT click and it’s still good to let go and just take photos for the sake of taking photos ;)

Aww! I COMPLETELY agree… you have to just keep on truckin’….. I am guilty of not picking up the cam enough around the house lately, AND I’m even MORE guilty of not getting enough photos printed. So happy to hear from you!
