We were so busy the past several weeks getting packages together and doing crazy last minute sessions for people! And I am working on a wedding package, and a senior package, but NOTHING ELSE at the current *whew*… and I am for sure having a Holiday cutoff date next year, hehe.
So its Christmastime! Crazy, seems like the year just began and here we are about to enter 2007. I’m not feeling very Christmassy this year. Drama with my mom, Jess’s aunt is in the hospital and won’t get to come home, and I won’t even get to see my siblings because our schedules are all out of whack, so I’m just excited for Kyler. I just always have to rush around and never feel like I get to truly VISIT around the holidays. We have four different households, PLUS our own, that we celebrate Christmas with.
I decided on NOT getting Kyler any toys this year. Everyone else does a great job with that (yeah, thanks Grandpa Norman and Grandma LeAnna for getting him a train set that is 20 feet in circumference!). MY Grandma got him a karaoke machine, so we got him a couple of cds to go with that, he got a new pair of shoes, and I bought him his first mini-acoustic guitar. I know it seems early, but he’s always picking up my guitar and hammering away at it, so it only seems right… I started playing piano/keyboards really early, I guess it is almost time for him to start doing stuff like that! Crazy.
And he thinks he has a loose tooth already!? I felt it, but couldn’t tell for sure. I can’t believe he is growing so fast. I made a DVD slideshow for all the parents/grandparents/greatgrandparents this year… and I finally sat down to actually watch it lastnight and it made me bawl. Where does the time go?!
Last but certainly not least… I have gotten a pretty good head start on my personal website (portfolio) and I hope to have it up in January. I’m excited… tho it isn’t anything fancy. Keep your eyes peeled, I’ll have links ready as soon as its all finished 
I’ve also had a sort of awakening where I don’t give a heaping crapstick about whether or not anyone likes my personal artwork. Because I LOVE it, that’s why I do it. It gets hard sometimes, drawing the line between wanting to be accepted and just wanting to make art. And my passion to create overrides my need for acceptance, so I am just flowing with it. If I can inspire someone, then the job is done.
